Quick and Easy Ladies Hat Pattern

 

Materials

 1.5 Ounces Worsted Weight Yarn

 Size I Aluminum Crochet Hook

Guage

At end of Round 3, the hat should measure approximately 1 3/4 inches. If you have a measurement close to that, you should be fine. Fit does not have to be perfect. If it is off more than 1/4 inch, change to a bigger or smaller hook.

 

 

 

Abbreviations

Ch          Chain

Dc          Double Crochet

Rnd        Round

Sl st        Slip Stitch

Sp            Space

St            Stitch

 

 

Directions

Ch 4. Join with a sl st into the first ch to form ring.

Rnd 1: Ch 2, (Counts as first dc now and throughout pattern.) 7 dc in ring. Join in top ch of ch 2. (8 dc)

Rnd 2: Ch 2. 1 dc in same sp as ch 2. 2 dc in each dc around. Join with a sl st in top ch of ch 2. (16 dc)

Rnd 3: Repeat Rnd 2. (32 dc)

Rnd 4: Ch 2, 2 dc in next st. *dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st in top of ch 2. (48 dc)

Rnd 5: Ch 2, 1 dc in next st. *2 dc, 1 dc in next 2 dc. Repeat from * around, ending with 2 dc in last dc.  Join with sl st in top of ch 2. (64 dc)

Rnd 6 – 13: Ch 2, 1 dc in ea dc around.

End off at the end of Rnd 13. Cut off the end of yarn and work in.
